香港大學學生會平反六四全民投票

--結果公布--

香港大學學生會於二零零九年四月十四至十六日舉行平反六四全民投票，表決「中華人民共和國中央人民政府必須平反八九民運，並就六四屠城負上責任。」議案。我們欣然宣布，是次公投投票率為19.004%，議案以92.56%大比數通過。

是次公投由同學以一人一票的民主選舉方式表達意願，結果明確顯示出同學從未忘記這一份堅持。今夜無疑是一個歷史性時刻，我們為真相與公義清晰而有力地發聲，把香港大學學生會平反六四的薪火相傳下去。我們將承繼香港大學學生會二十年來的精神，繼續爭取民主與自由。毋忘六四。

General Polling to Rectify the June 4th Verdict
--Result Annoucement--

The Hong Kong University Students’ Union held the General Polling to rectify the June 4th Verdict on 14 – 16 April 2009, the motion being ‘The Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China must vindicate the 1989 Democratic Movement, and be held accountable for the June 4th Massacre.’ We are pleased to announce that the motion was passed by an overwhelming majority of 92.56%, the turnout rate being 19.004%.

The outcome of the General Polling truly reflected the will of the students, and the spirit of democracy was displayed by each and every vote cast. We believe that this is a momentous landmark in the history of the Students’ Union, and its long fight for the vindication of the June 4th Verdict. Twenty years on from Tiananmen, the students of the University of Hong Kong have not forgotten. We have all made history and voiced out for truth and justice loud and clear. The torch has been
passed to us, and we shall continue this fight for freedoms and democracy. Lest we forget.
