各位同學：

學校將會於本年中將會設立U-Vision。U-Vision 是一個校園內的電子播放系統。

以下是U-Vision 的有關資料：
一．學校將會安裝四十八部電視機於校園不同地方，例如餐廳及宿舍，等等。
此計劃的電視機尺寸大多是三十二寸或四十二寸，但當中亦有些六十寸的電視。
二．現計劃U-Vision 將會每天播放十小時，預計U-Vision 將會增加大學0.04%的電力消耗量。
三．U-Vision 將會播放新聞，錄像短片，圖片等等。學校將會製作不同的錄像短片來宣傳大學內的活動。
而學校亦計劃以用電視機去播放不同海報的圖片，以減少大學內濫用海報的情況。

學校將會舉辦一個U-Vision 的公開諮詢大會，詳情如下：
日期：三月二十五日(星期三)
時間：中午十二時四十五分至二時
地點：明華綜合大樓, 八一九室

Dear all HKU students,

The University will soon organize U-Vision program, an electronic display system of TV monitors throughout the university in mid 2009. The following is the information related to the program:

1. 48 televisions will be located in both indoor and outdoor places in the university, including the canteens, halls, etc. The most common sizes of these televisions are 32” and 42”. But there are larger screens that will be 60"

2. It is planned that the majority of U-Vision TV monitors will be active for 10 hours each day. It is stated that the TV monitors will only increase HKU’s total electricity consumption by approximately 0.04% in reference to 2005 figures.

3. The U. Vision will broadcast news, video segments clips, static images, and scrolling text repeatedly. The video segments are produced by the university to promote the events in the university. The static images displayed will include images of the posters and banners in the campus.
