Dear students,

Today is the last day of the DT Fest, but it
does not indicate the end of the welfare we
Students' Union provide to you all at the
beginning of the semester. I would like to
announce the launch of the Mega Sale next week.

Date: 29/9-30/9, 2/10-3/10
Time: 10:00-18:00
Venue: Haking Wong Podium

Followings are the highlights of the function:

1. iPhone 3G
A special price scheme is designed for HKU
students, you are welcome to come to the
Students' Union Office to get a leaflet of the
plan from now on, to help you make better
consideration before its start.

2. Microsoft (Office and Windows software)
A drastic price cut scheme is provided by
Microsoft to all university students in Hong
Kong and it will officially launched in HKU at
the start of the Mega Sale. You can certainly
enjoy it by your identity and the Students'
Union will facilitate your application. Further
details will be announced very soon.

3. Starbucks free discount coupon
We are glad to receive some free discount
coupons from Starbucks. Since there is limited
supply, they are delivered in the Students'
Union office by the first-come-first-served basis
and quota is equally set for each day. Special
arrangement will be provided for medical
students who may find it inconvenient to come to
the main campus.

4. Newspaper Subscription
Various popular newspaper and magazine
subscription schemes will accept application
during the Mega Sale. For example, Times, SCMP,
Economic Press and more.

5. "Traditional Sweets in HKU Mega Sale"
I personally regard this item as important as
the above big brand names. Indeed, in every Mega
Sale we invite an experienced elder to set up a
booth selling traditional sweets. We charge him
nothing every time because we appreciate his
will and effort in promoting his own brand name.
To me this perfectly realizes the purpose of
organizing the Mega Sale, which is not merely to
provide students opportunities to consume, but
at the same time awake their awareness to the
society.

There are also various booths selling a wide
range of products like Polo shirts and small
accessories. In order to shorten this email, I
would like to stop here and make another
announcement regarding the list of discounts
offered to HKU students. Please don't miss it.
